Evaluation question 6&7: What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product? & Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the main task?

Evaluation question 4&5: Who would be the audience for your media product? & How did you attract/address your audience?

I answer questions 4&5 together by video, I then uploaded the video onto youtube, therefore people can watch and understand how I feel about addressing audiences and our target audiences.

The BBFC say that a film should be rated a 15 if it includes several scenes of strong violence, within the first few scenes of our thriller someone is murdered, I feel this clearly justifies the reasoning for making the age certificate a 15. If we set it as 12 and someone went to see it who was 12 and felt this behaviour was acceptable we would be to blame, 12 is only a child's age whereas 15 is a more mature age to understand things like mental health which is a major theme running through out our film.

After publishing this video I realise what I said about older people may be slightly wrong. People over the age of 50 may not fall asleep in the cinema or find it boring but statistics show that younger people are more interested in thriller films compared to older people. I think if people over 50 went to see it they may find some scenes boring, like the bits with new technology (phones, headphones etc.) but the action parts they would find intriguing and exciting.

I feel our film would attract both men and women, as in this film there is a strong female character (Rachael, the unstable character). When I say strong I don't mean mentally/physically I mean she has the lead role which would attract a lot of women, especially feminists who believe women deserve to have equal roles as men and usually it is a man in a film who steals the lead. However, the action, murder and intense scenes would attract men to watch our thriller.

Evaluation question 3: What kind of media institutions might distribute your media product and why?

My response to question 3 of the evaluation, I did it on word and uploaded it to slideshare.

Evaluation question 2: How does your media product represent particular social groups?

This is my response to question 2 of our evaluation made on powerpoint but on slideshare.

Piktocharts.

In our theory side to the course we were told to look at a representation of a part of the country. I chose Yorkshire. This is the information I produced about Yorkshire.
When it comes to filming our thriller we had to pick an area to film. On the opening of Emmerdale you see fields and the moores etc. We decided to film our thriller in the middle of a field to give it an isolated feel and it's spontaneous how the mental patient ended up there, watching all the people who walk by, it gives an eerie atmosphere from the beginning.
Here is a bit of information on Yorkshire and the stereotypical representations of people from Yorkshire.
